This winter I’m aiming to up my healthy routine game!
I mean, after all, I’m a mom, so staying healthy is a big deal. If mom goes down, everyone goes down! And that is just no good!
These days my stress is a little high and my prayers are quite frequent. Prepping to sell our house and move all while homeschooling and fitting in regular life can do that to a girl. So, that’s where the healthy routine goals comes into play. I HAVE to take care of myself to survive this season and supplementing my too frequent coffee runs and take-out orders with powerful vitamins is proving to be the magic that is keeping me healthy enough to accomplish my ever growing to do list.
Before you get too curious about my vitamin regimen, I’ll confess, I stink at swallowing pills. Like, majorly stink. This has led me to find pill alternatives and one of my most favorites is Emergen-C. Emergen-C is packed with B vitamins, antioxidants†, electrolytes plus more vitamin C than 10 oranges^. And it comes in more than 20 flavors! It’s a powder that is sold in a box of individual servings and these days it’s an easy and delicious way for me to get in my vitamins and stay revitalized.
Technically you can take 1 packet of Emergen-C in 4-6 ounces of water. And that’s totally great – fizz and yummy and simple. But, it’s my preference to sip Emergen-C in a fancy little mocktail. A mocktail I like to call The Triple E Health Bomb!
Laugh if you want, but this drink is truly THE BOMB! A refreshing boost that gives me a jump start on the day or a boost in the evening when I finally have a few power hours to buzz through my less kid friendly to do list items. I love how it tastes and promise that the fizz is 10x better than soda bubbles. No joke! Here’s how to whip up a Triple E Health Bomb for yourself!
- 1 packet Super Orange Emergen-C
- 6 ounces pineapple orange banana juice
- 1 dropper full of liquid echinacea
- 1 tablespoon elderberry syrup
- 1 orange, sliced
In a medium glass add the packet of Emergen-C. Pour 3 ounces of juice and whisk well with a fork until it’s completely dissolved. Add liquid echinacea and elderberry syrup. Top with remaining juice and add a fresh squeeze of orange. Garnish with a slice, sip, and offer up a hearty cheer to your health!
