Mr. Reid is a breakfast lover. No doubt. He wakes up hungry and practically crawls straight to his high chair as soon as we make it downstairs. For awhile I scooped him up to nurse while the big kids sat at the table, but Reid made it clear that he wanted to be a part of the family meal. So, a scrumptious breakfast option for Reid was born …
Jemma and Max weren’t interested in food for quite awhile. But Reid? He’s a whole other kid! He is by far my earliest eater, my earliest crawler too. Pretty much, he’s doing everything a month or so ahead of when I expected. It’s keeping me on my toes!
For a few months now Reid has been enjoying a variety of baby food. He’s a lover of chicken and veggies. And cold water in his sippy cup is a favorite too! We started with offering tastes of things at lunch, then dinner, and now, breakfast too. As long as we aren’t racing out the door :) So far I haven’t found a flavor he doesn’t like!
Yogurt Swirl is a fancy name for a super easy breakfast! I’m guessing your little ones will love it too! Here’s exactly how to add something delicious to your baby’s breakfast routine!
INGREDIENTS
- Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits Sweet Potato Apple Carrot and Cinnamon
- Plain Greek yogurt
DIRECTIONS
Spoon a 1:1 ratio of puree and yogurt into a bowl and watch your little one smile as the spoon comes near!
I love Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits because they help establish the ever crucial skill of chewing. Lil’ Bits introduce small, soft pieces of food packed with flavor. What baby wouldn’t want to chew up a treat like that? Of course, Reid was a HUGE fan — he reached right for it and mashed it with his few little teeth. I love seeing him practice chewing while he hangs out in his high chair. These milestones get me every time :) #sappymommoment
Gerber has created almost 20 different flavors of Lil’ Bits. This 3rd Foods collection is perfect for teaching little ones eating basics like chewing tiny bits of fruits and vegetables. And, as Reid and I shared today Lil’ Bits make the perfect mix in for first food recipes.
And you know what that means …
HAPPY GERBER BABY CUTENESS!
Reid has been enjoying Yogurt Swirl every day this week for breakfast so I have more Lil’ Bits and yogurt on my grocery list for next week. Which flavor do you think we should try next? What flavor would your little one like most? Leave a comment with your vote and keep an eye on Instagram to see what he thinks of the flavor mix up next week!

Okay this sounds good. But. When I saw the mini photo in my reader I thought it was yogurt with baked beans on top. I felt so sick to my stomach imagining that taste combo lol. Ugh, I hope I didn’t just jinx myself and cause my next pregnancy’s main craving to be yogurt + baked beans =0
