Max | 2 Months

Oh, sweet boy. Where to begin?
This month, like all the months to come, have been too darn precious. You are flashing smiles like no one’s business and you love tummy time. It’s so fun to see you growing more and more each day. The rolls are roll-erific! Anywhere and everywhere – you have them! And they are so kissable!
Most days, if you aren’t sleeping you are in my arms. Because … if you’re not there, you are quite tearful. It’s hard to get anything done, but I’m loosening up my expectations and you, me, and sis are embracing all the snuggles at home.  When my arms need a rest I’ll wrap you up in the Baby K’tan or Maya and in a few moments you’ll be sawing logs as I bop around. The only problem is … you’re getting kind of heavy to wear for more than a hour or two!
Your most favorites things include the sound of fans (the louder the better), your sister, being carried like a tiger in a tree, your bee, and nursing while laying down. Your least favorite things are car rides and stuck burps and toots.
Today we are visiting the orthopedic surgeon to talk about your extra thumb. I’m hoping we’ll be able to avoid surgery and let you grow up and decide if you want it removed. As of now, no one thinks you’ll have any developmental issue since it is a completely formed thumb. We’ll see what the experts say. I feel nervous about taking you to the hospital, but I’m trusting that the Lord will give us the perfect team of doctors to help us make the best decision.
Each day I fall more and more in love with you. There is no doubt our family would be lacking if you weren’t with us. You were truly meant to be.
XOXO to my adorably wonderful little man. Mama loves you!

P.S. Jemma was adamant that she jump into a few of Max’s pictures. She snuggled up next to him, gave him kisses, and wrapped her arms around his body while giving me sweet little glances that said, “Take our picture, Mama … we love each other!” I just love that they have each other.
