Reading: Crossed. My sister teaches junior high which means she is privy to all the up-and-coming young adult novels. She read Twilight and Hunger Games eons before I heard about them! Supposedly the Matched trilogy is next in the queue for most popular. Crossed is the second book and the third comes out in November … eek!

Watching: A slew of recorded 10 Dollar Dinners. Melissa D’Arabian has been my favorite Food Network gal ever since she won The Next Food Network Star. She has a daughter named Valentina, which I adore and I’m pretty sure she lives in Seattle which isn’t too far from me! Who knows … maybe I’ll run into her at a Pike’s Place someday!

Working on: a packing plan. This week I’m sorting books – some to sell, some to keep out, most to pack. And, I suppose I should mention that we’ve changed our move date from end of August to mid-June. Um … yeah. It’s going to be crazy around here for a little while. Lots of factors went into the date change – mostly Dominic’s work was the decision maker. He’s needed up north way more often and moving sooner is much better than having him gone 3-4 nights/week. We’re still building the house, that’s plugging along, but we’ll be living with my parents for the summer and baby’s arrival. Then we’ll transition to our house as soon as it’s done in the fall.
Oh, and I’m re-organizing some blog layout details. Best of all though … do you see my new blog header from Mostaza Seed Designs? I’m smitten with her style! Don’t you just LOVE it! Feel free to grab a new, pretty button that she designed as well :)

Thinking about: what life will be like with two little ones. I’m cherishing my days with Jemma and hoping that we both adjust well to becoming a trio soon. Any advice or thoughts on this? Part of me feels awful and selfish for wanting more time with just Jemma. I know I won’t want to change a thing once brother arrives, but still … it leaves me wondering how I can best utilize our time together now and how I’ll best be able to fill them both up with love come August.

Anticipating: my upcoming baby shower. It will most likely be the last time I see many of my friends from our current town. Super sad face :((((

Listening to: Enya. She’s my go-to calm music. I had a whole bunch of her loaded on my iPod for labor with Jemma and then ended up hating all music/sound. I’m curious if that will be the same this time around …

Eating: veggie pizza. I had it at a Pampered Chef party recently and fell in love. Pretty much you take a pre-made pizza dough, press it on a pan, and drizzle oil. Then press 2-3 garlic cloves and sprinkle them over the top. Bake just the dough with garlic at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Take it out, add a layer of parmesan and then top with sliced zucchini, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Sprinkle mozzarella on top and bake for another 15 minutes. So good and fresh!

Wishing: someone could magically sort and pack my house. But, alas … I’m the only one who knows what items need to go to storage, what goes to my parents, and what we can part with for the rest of eternity. It’s become quite the chore … especially with my mini me unpacking and sorting behind me :)

Thanks to Danielle for the fun “Currently” prompts!

I too wanted more time with Michael. My heart ached when I went into the hospital to have Shelby, knowing I had no more time with him as an only child. My best advice is cherish every moment you have with jemma now as an only child. Make the most of it and when the baby is born do something special for her like a big sister present. Best wishes.

What do you think of Crossed? I didn't like it quite as well as Matched, but I am excited for the new one! Have you read Divergent by Veronica Roth? It is excellent and the second book Insurgent just came out this week. Highly recommend.

So far so good, I'm on Ch. 13 :) I haven't read Divergent – I'll totally add that to my reading list! -Gretchen________________________________From: Disqus To: thatmamagretchen@gmail.comSent: Thursday, May 3, 2012 1:09 PMSubject: [thatmamagretchen] Re: That Mama Gretchen: CurrentlyDisqus generic email template
