6 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 inches long
Last January, we both found out we were expecting and have since journeyed through our pregnancies together. It has been such a blessing to experience this special time with a best friend by your side. Even more, it has been lovely to watch her turn into a mother. Through our texts, emails and phone conversations this last week I have seen her blossom. Trust me, Mallory was a fabulous person before she became a mother – gracious, kind-hearted, trustworthy … my list could go on and one. But now, as a mom to her darling Olivia Brooke, she is a new woman. Her voice is full of love. Everything she says resonates with the beauty of becoming a mom. It’s still hard for me to imagine, what it will be like to see my little one and feel this overwhelming love that I see in Mallory. It’s coming though, and I can’t wait!
Stay tuned for much more of Mallory and Olivia … we are planning our bestie/baby reunion in late October (pending weather and health of mamas and babies)!
Baby of mine … We don’t yet know you gender and we haven’t come close to deciding on a name. What we do know is that you will change our lives. You were sent to us by God at a very special time. Not a time that we planned, but a time that fits perfectly into God’s plan for our family. I have a hard time imagining how much our life will change and how much your Daddy and I will love and adore you. I know it will be more than I have ever experienced. You will be one of our greatest treasures and we can’t wait to welcome you into our family! Not too much long, my little surprise! You will fill my heart with such extreme joy once you arrive! Until then, stay safe and warm … don’t keep me up too late and please, oh please, grace us with your presence sooner rather than later. We are eagerly awaiting your arrival :)
