My list of “to-read before baby” is quickly growing …
I’ll be honest, the books on labor are being pushed to the bottom. I think I’ve gathered the overall message, “1,000 things could happen and every mom is different”. I’ve moved on to other topics like Healthy Meals for Babies and Toddlers.
I found this gem at the Just Between Friends Sale for only $3. It has great recipes, is full of pictures, and has filled my mind with yummy recipes for our whole family! I love the idea of baby eating what we eat; having a family meal instead of grown-up food versus baby food. It has sections for each age group … First Tastes (6-8 months), Establishing Solids (8-10 months), Encouraging Self-Feeding (10-12 months), New Tastes & Textures (12-18 months), and Tasty Adventures (18-36 months).
Can’t quite give my full recommendation since I haven’t tried anything yet, but for cookbook reading it’s WAY up there. Give it a try and let me know what you think of some of the recipes! I can’t wait to whip something up in a year or so and post a picture of my little one enjoying it :)

Oh this sounds like a good one. I may need to check it out. I am a big advocate for baby eats what you eat just modified where needed. It makes it easier on you when you are cooking plus I think it is great to get them started on the idea of "this is what is for dinner, Mommy doesn't make separate dinners. " Bishop is not a picky eater and I like to believe it is because when he sees Mommy and Daddy eating it he wants to eat it as well.

Just remember what they don't care for when they are little will probably become a "favorite" when they are big…just thinking of your eating journey:)
