Leah and I had a memorable weekend searching for a very specific baby booty pattern. When I get something stuck in my head, there is no stopping me. Saturday, it was booties. I wanted Leah’s next project to be little boots for my little one. Lucky for me, she was up for the search!
We were not looking for any type of random baby booties … we had a picture and just needed directions to get started. These booties were really baby boots. Booties just gives the wrong image. They are modern and chic and so, not your grandma’s baby booties. Just our style. In the course of our search we visited a specialty store called Canvasworks, JoAnn Fabrics, Barnes & Noble, Amazon (via the iPhone), Starbucks (for re-fueling) and Borders. We never did find the pattern.
So, being the crafty girl she is, Leah decided to just “give it a try” sans pattern and she suceeded! I wish you could see the buttons up closer … they have an adorable leaf etched into them. These baby boots are going to be perfect for my little one this winter!
If you want to order a pair of your own all you have to do is visit Leah’s Etsy site, Little Sprout Basics. Leah and another friend, Elsie, have some of the sweetest baby crafts in there store … and they do custom projects/colors!
Speaking of other fabulous Leah projects … she finished the pants! Don’t they look super snuggly?
