Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is such a special holiday. One of my favorites. A beautiful time to reflect and honor and snuggle my most precious blessings.

Oh, and presents :) Those are pretty nice too!

I usually coordinate a group gift between my sisters and I for our mom, I brainstorm with my husband for his mom, and then either order my own gift or drop big hints to Dominic. But really, he just lets me get what I want and writes me a sappy-save-forever kind of card … which is what I really want from him. The kids have gotten so creative in recent years too! I just love the phrases and pictures they come up with!

If you’re buying for yourself or a mama you love and adore, here’s a round up of some of my best recommendations for 2020! Happy Mother’s Day!

Make It Minnie Necklace

Love Disney? You’ll fall in love with Make It Minnie’s inspired jewelry! My mom and I actually have matching Second Star ones and it’s my fave! Wonderful quality and such a sweet and subtle nod to the happiest place on earth.

Family Films With Sam

I’ll forever promote the video making course. Family Films With Sam is a brilliant and easy lifelong gift. If you or your mama has access to iMovie and you want to turn all the video clips on your phone into a succinct little family film, this is the gift you need to buy/give. Use code GRETCHEN for $5 off. You will not regret it.

Hello gorgeous art work! Mapiful can be customized to your mama’s most special place – her hometown, favorite getaway, where you were born, etc. Simple to create, style, and frame. Add a note that you’ll even be the one who gets it on the wall so it’s a full circle, complete gift.

San Juan Island Sea Salt

Are you aiming to shop small this Mother’s Day? Look no further than San Juan Island Sea Salt! The assortment they offer is absolutely scrumptious – we are big fans of the popcorn blend, San Juan blend, and sriracha blend. Oh, and flake salt is the bomb sprinkled on top of chocolate chip cookies!

Trunk Club

As a pre-Mother’s Day gift I helped my mom sort and tidy her closet. She tried on almost everything and we pulled items she didn’t need and made a list of items to add (bring on the leopard cardigan search!). It was a capsule project/service gift of sorts. To start filling in the gaps I ordered her a Trunk Club from Nordstrom (if you or your mama is new to Trunk Club you can get $50 towards your first Trunk … no strings!). It’s on the way now and I can’t wait to help finish her closet with a few fresh spring and summer pieces.

Nursing Essentials

Nursing mamas deserve all the love and comfort, especially on Mother’s Day. They’re truly working 24/7! Treat your best nursing mama to the Upspring Charcoal Fusion Nursing Tank and the Lansinoh Breastfeeding Pillow this year – two essentials that will surely be put to use often!

Floret’s “A Year In Flowers” Signed Book

Floret is one of the prettiest farms on the planet! Cross my heart! I recently read Erin Benzakein’s first book “Cut Flower Garden” and now see that she has signed copies of her newest book, “A Year In Flowers” available. Pair it with a pretty bouquet and just like that you’ve got a really love gift to bundle up for your mama.

Rothy’s Shoes

I mentioned that my sisters and I often opt for a group gift for our mom … we’ve done spa treatments and fancy perfume, but more often than not we splurge on some amazing shoes for her. She loves Rothy’s (I do too!) and you can get $20 off your first purchase if you decide to treat your mama (or yourself) to the comfiest shoes EVER. Rothy’s offers a crazy awesome discount to teachers, medical professionals, and first responders too.

Lifeprint Photo Printer

We all keep too many photos on our phone, right? With this ultra slim photo printer you can connect via Bluetooth and print 2×3 photos for easy display of all those favorite snaps! I cherish the photos I print and am so grateful for easy ways to make it happen.

Modern + Chic Bag

Modern + Chic is a small boutique out of Utah and their bags are just the best! I recently bought the Brielle and convinced a friend to order one too – we both love it! They have some great styles to choose from! I did order a spare strap for my Brielle so it kind of feels like two bags in one. Now I just need somewhere to go …

What is on your Mother’s Day wish list? What are you gifting to your mama and MIL? Share all those good ideas … I love hearing your favorites too!
