Even after four kids, I still find myself asking questions. All. The. Time.
Questions about their milestones, questions about discipline, questions about food options, questions about breastfeeding, questions about my postpartum experience, questions about learning activities, questions about appropriate screen time, questions about when it gets easier, questions about if it gets harder, questions about favorite shoes and toys, questions about my sanity as I juggle all these little sweethearts, lol!
Actually, I probably ask more questions now than I ever have!
It can be overwhelming to have so many questions and not enough reliable resources. I’m looking at you Google, you stress me out! Most times when a question strikes, I want to talk to a real mom or someone who has training in the specific area I’m looking for advice in; I want someone who gets where I’m at and what I’m going through.
Take my most recent conundrum —> What can I do now to hopefully avoid Eli turning into a picky eater? I may be struggling big time with another child in this area and if I can do ANYTHING to give Eli happy taste buds that love everything … or at least lots of things … I will!
His one year wellness appointment is coming up soon so I’m planning to bring this question up, but, in the meantime, I thought it would be wise to reach out and get some thoughts from another resource — the Happy Mama Mentors from Happy Family Organics!
Happy Family recently launched a free live chat service on their website. And it’s amazing! And fast! And did I mention, FREE?!? Any parent or caregiver can hop on and quickly access a Happy Mama Mentor for their infant or toddler feeding questions. All Happy Mama Mentors are registered dietitians, lactation specialists, and they are certified in infant and maternal nutrition. Best of all, they’re all moms so they totally understand what it’s like to have questions about nutrition.
Last week I had the opportunity to run my question by Happy Mama Mentor, Angela, while Eli explored his book basket and gobbled down a HappyTot Fiber & Protein Soft-Baked Oat Bar (organic apples & spinach flavor to help him love his greens!) and she was so kind and helpful. Best of all, my experience on the chat platform was fast and easy. When I logged on my wait was under a minute! Which was fantastic because Eli’s attention span is approximately 2.5 minutes, lol!
The Happy Mama Mentors are available 8am–8pm (EST) Monday through Friday and 8am–4pm (EST) on the weekends, so that means you can probably pop over to Happy Family right now and ask whatever nutrition question is on your mind!
