Chicagoland

Recap time!

February was, well, all the crazy hashtags. It’s mid-March now and I still feel like I’m recovering — the move, Reid’s RSV, my first trimester, (blah!), then, Chicago! That was the good part. Seeing family. Running away from real life. Eating good food. We’re home now (obviously), settling in to somewhat of a schedule ,and still unpacking boxes. I’m taking on the lovely task of sorting and all “the joy of tidying up things” or whatever KonMari has tried to brainwash me with and I’m pretty sure she does not live with children, because, ya’ll, if it was just me, this would be sooooo eaaaasy!

Anyways, a glimpse of Chicago. For posterity.

The sweetest. The wildest.

Still craving this >>> Q BBQ. There is gouda on that pulled pork sandwich. And  those hush puppies?!? Nothin’ like it in the PNW.

We had a girls date in downtown Naperville and Le Chocolat was a hit! Just look at that darling dessert flight!

Wouldn’t we all like a personal taxi?

And we can’t forget the American Girl store! Hopefully this won’t be our last visit to Chicagoland. Dominic and I would love to buzz out for just a grown up getaway with his brother and sister-in-law and the kids definitely want to return too. What should we do (and where should we eat!) next round?
