play morning at the indoor playground … tee, old navy | little man leggings, c/o doodlepants
On Monday the kids and I pulled into the local indoor playground for a play date. They got to playing and I settled in on the couch waiting for our friends to arrive. Then they didn’t. I checked my Facebook message and sure enough – wrong day. We had made plans to meet on Tuesday morning, not Monday!
So, Jemma and Max had a hay day and I moped, feeling bummed because I had been so excited for some mama talk that I’d anticipated it all 24 hours early! Good news is, we’ve already rescheduled, yay! Bubba cruised around in his DoodlePants which I adore. Soft and comfy and perfect for running and climbing. And Jemma led their escapades up and down the slide, through tunnels, building towers and enjoying all the super cool toys they are too deprived to have :)
If you’re a mama to a chubby baby you quickly learn that all baby clothes are not created equal. For example, Max cannot comfortably move in jeans. It is physically impossible. His legs are just too stout and anything non-elastic pinches his belly in the worst way. Am I worried? Not a bit. Jemma had this same phase too. The phase of stretch pants and leggings, sadly though, I hadn’t discovered DoodlePants in time for Jem. But Max, he’s a DoodlePants man! Doodlepants are are bone fide chubby baby awesomeness! My favorite are the Blue Monster doodle pants!! I actually already have a pair of those for Easton but they are my fave!! So if I were to win another pair, I would want the Dino on a Skateboard pants :)

Love these! I was recently searching for the perfect sewing pattern because I couldn’t find leggings anywhere for my boy. These are perfect!
Leggings are a must for little boys – “real” pants are too hard to move around in. Especially when you’re trying to fit a cloth diaper in there too!

Leggings are a must for little boys – "real" pants are too hard to move around in. Especially when you're trying to fit a cloth diaper in there too!
I have the opposite problem…my guy is TOO skinny for most elastic pants and unless any pant has those elastic pull ins inside they all fall down. Honest, he eats so much I don’t know where it goes! @ 2 yrs old he eats almost as much as I do when we sit down to eat…he has a hollow leg! and no waist!
My daughter was super chubby as a baby and is now almost 3 and is the same way – skinny waisted! It’s crazy how they start growing up instead of out once they aren’t babies anymore!

On top of it all, the company was an absolute GEM to work with! I will certainly be adding more DP’s to his wardrobe, but winning a pair would be awesome!
