Style File | Goodbye Bikinis & a GIVEAWAY!

A few weeks ago I purchased a Groupon for Great Wolf Lodge – it was our family’s collaborative gift for my sister’s college graduation. We were all pretty excited for the mini getaway … well, all except for my mom and I who had the joy of finding new swimsuits.
Yeah – swimsuits post baby. That’s a fun topic.
My mama found a darling “grandma” option on clearance. I swear, she was the cutest grandma there! Especially since she wore a wolf ear headband most of the time! I’d share a photo, but some things are just off limits in blogland and my mama has claimed her swimsuit photos as her own :)
I, on the other hand, am going to spread my postpartum swim selection far and wide. Thanks to Albion Fit, I was both hip and confident in my new mom suit. I really hate calling it that, because it’s not just for moms or even those who have something to hide.
Albion Fit specializes in women’s fitness and swimwear as well as workout clothing. I can’t boast enough about their selection of tasteful options and the quality is unmatched. You truly get what you pay for with swimwear and as I age, foundation pieces – like undergarments, shapewear and swimwear, have become crucial in flaunting what I want to flaunt and masking what daylight must not see.
The lovely team at Albion Fit let me choose my Great Wolf suit and after much deliberation, I narrowed it down to these four suits:

My criteria was a one-piece or full coverage tankini, muted color and something compatible with nursing – both in access and coverage for the girls. It’s a lot to ask of a swimsuit, but in the end, the Blousy Suit won! And you’re going to have the chance to win one too!!!
The Blousy Suit is a perfect fit for my stage of life right now. My postpartum tummy was covered which made me feel confident in a sea of teenage bikinis and if there was a line up of all the mamas at Great Wolf, I’m pretty sure my suit would have made it into the hip mom category :)
adventures at Great Wolf Lodge … blousy suit, c/o Albion Fit | flips, old navy
Now, I’m pretty sure 95% of my readers are mamas so I’m guessing you’re all pretty intrigued by the mom friendly swimsuits from Albion Fit. Whether you’re going on vacation or to swim lessons – it’s super important that you have a solid suit for playing with the munchkins! I’m hoping you love the Blousy Suit (available in navy, black and green), because one of you will be winning one here in the next week! Just enter the Rafflecopter below and cross your fingers!!!
On a personal note … I’m always curious about sizing when I see “normal” people wearing pieces purchased online, so if there are any other curious cats out there … I ordered a large (and I’m 5’8″ and 150 pounds on a good day). As I mentioned, adequate coverage was one of the main things I wanted, especially as a nursing mama with more boob than I can handle. I think I could have gotten by with a medium, but I was fearful of side boob. ::shudder:: So, to avoid the dreaded side boob, I opted for a large and everything worked out swell.
Oh, and feel free to use and share the coupon code mamagretchen15 for $15 off any $50 purchase at Albion Fit between today and June 8, 2013. I’m really loving this hoodie and this swimsuit has to be one of the sweetest ones I’ve seen this season! Yep, just may be using my own coupon code :)

I entered & love the suit! Been dreading looking for something for Hawaii & win or not, I think I may order this one. Though I do have a question. After nursing 2 babies the girls just aren't where the used to be, does this offer enough support & lift? ;) Thanks!

I TOTALLY hear ya on needing support and lift! I would consider it medium – kind of vague, I know. It has a shelf bra and I opted for a larger size to get more coverage to avoid side boob. I wouldn't go running in it, but it was just fine for the water park :)
