To say the Sip + Swap I attended was fabulous is definitely an understatement! As we all parted ways on Saturday we decided that this Sip + Swap would be the first of many. We’re already planning for another round in June! Here’s the scoop on the event in case you want to host your own …
What’s a Sip + Swap?
A Sip and Swap is pretty much a fun way to swap clothes around and freshen up your wardrobe without spending money. Hello? Genius!
Is a swap for me?
-You feel like your wardrobe needs a good spicing up
-You have perfectly good pieces of clothing that you are sick to death of wearing
-You are low on cash
-You like to socialize with other awesome women
-You like sangria

How does it work?
-Everyone shows up with 3-12 pieces of lightly loved and laundered pieces of clothing, scarves, jewelry, shoes, belts, hair accessories, etc. for each piece that you bring you will receive a ticket. That is the maximum number of pieces you will be bringing home. Anything not taken goes to charity.

What about sizes?
Not a problem! Clothes are versatile. Dresses can be cinched. Tunics can become fitted tops. Pants can be belted. Plus, accessories and jewelry are one size fits all!

I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical of the sizing issue, but we had a great mix of clothing pieces and accessories and it’s true – clothes can be pieced together in so many ways. One tiny, but tall gal scooped up an XL jersey knit dress since she’s expecting and my sister nabbed a pair of pants that fit great but just need a little hemming. Yep, Sip + Swaps are the way of the future. And let’s be real, the sangria and snacks were a hit too.
Here’s a peek at my Sip + Swap loot …
- Leopard print cardigan – made its’ first appearance as a part of my church outfit
- Marathon tee – because obviously I’ll be wearing this grocery shopping while I’m also sporting my fake work out clothes and everyone will think I’m awesome :)
- Target olive green mini bag – for those occasions I don’t need a diaper bag, hello date night!
- Skinny cropped Joe’s jeans – perfect for spring
- Simply Vera blue floral dress – perfect with a belt and cardi
- Ann Taylor Loft silver flower sash – yep, love this accessory
If this doesn’t make you want to host/attend a Sip + Swap, I don’t know what will! And, if you’re local to the South Puget Sound area, send me an email and I’ll be sure to invite you to the next one!
