Here’s the scoop – if you don’t make this ASAP, we can no longer be friends.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 4-6 peaches (about 1 1/2 pounds), peeled and thickly sliced
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Melt butter in an 8 inch baking pan or pie dish
- Sift together dry ingredients
- Slowly add milk and stir until flour mixture is moistened
- Spoon the batter evenly onto the melted butter
- Arrange peach slices on top of the batter
- Bake for 35 minutes
- Serve lightly warm
- With whipped cream or ice cream … obviously
