It isn’t the most fun thing to gain weight during pregnancy. But, as my husband reminds me … it’s for the baby. Then it all seems ok.
But still, where are those pounds coming from? Better yet, where should they be coming from?
Baby Center emailed me a great list of healthy snacks to keep on hand:
- Fruit
- Raisins
- Yogurt
- Homemade Trail Mix
- Salad Bars
- Baby Carrots
- String Cheese
- Orange Juice
- Whole Grain Cereal & Oatmeal
- Cottage Cheese
And, of course, the foods to avoid … ramen noodles, soda, commercial lunces, frozen meals and iceberg lettuce.
Happy eating pregnant mamas! Remember those pounds are for baby’s well-being … make every calorie count!
