Hey Gretchen,I just had to comment on this post! The reality is, there's no reason why you and Dominic can't have a large family. You are two loving people who are committed to raising children in a loving home like you describe your friend doing. The funny thing is, people are always going to have an opinion. It's just like good 'ol Dr. Suess always says, “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” Ok…maybe not the best example, but since we're talking about children here I couldn't resist! Anyway, point being, people will have something to say about everything you do in life (if you let them) and it ultimately comes down to YOU and DOMINIC :) I also have a number of friends right now who are really struggling with infertility…I think the world needs to remember that it's a real thing for 1 in 5 couples (can you believe that?!?) So, I know one friend recently said, "It amazes me that people talk about children like they're anything other than a blessing." People who give you the "look" or have something to say that's anything other than supportive, are simply being judgemental and it's only a sad place to be in life for them….not for you. One or 10, children are a blessing and God is faithful to provide you with all of the resources you'll need. That doesn't mean you won't struggle – We all will in this life – But He will never fail you!Blessings to you today, Mama!!
