Mother’s Day

Little reality check here … I’M GOING TO BE A MOM!!!

Nothing like trying to grasp my pending motherhood. Today was one of the days that helped to piece it all together. I was told “Happy Mother’s Day” over and over and I’m sure I responded with some puzzled looks. Then I realized, wow, they are talking to me. Then I patted my stomach just to make sure it was still there. I’M GOING TO BE A MOM! How crazy? Yes, I’m almost halfway into this 40 week journey and I’m still a bit amazed at the little life growing inside of me.

So, to the little one who has made me a mama:

Little One,

Can’t quite describe how much I love you already. It’s so fun to have the computer balanced on my tummy and feel your gentle flips and flops inside of me. Such a blessing on my first Mother’s Day! I can’t wait to snuggle you in my arms and kiss your little face! You have come at God’s perfect timing and your Dad and I are so excited for you to be a part of our lives. We talk about you all day long … wondering how you will look, what you will like, and who you will grow up to be. Who ever you are and whatever you become we will love you like crazy … WE ALREADY DO!

Hugs and Kisses,

Mama

Andrea Millen's mom wrote her letters until she was 18 in a journal. then she gave her the journal when she was in college. how cute is that? my favorite entry was the one where Andrea stole a fistful of costume jewelry rings from a department store.
