Bind That Blog Like a Book

Next time someone asks “How can I print my blog?” send them to Blog2Print. With a couple of clicks, you choose a cover, the posts you’d like to include, and you’re on your way to creating your own Blog Book!
For quite awhile I’ve been planning to print my blog. So much of what I chronicle here is Jemma’s baby book, and now brother’s too! If anything ever happened to the interwebs, or I made some awful html mistake and deleted everything I would be bummed. Like super bummed. For a really REALLY long time. I’ve done my best to hand write things and keep a memento box for Jemma, but it doesn’t really compare to the day to day happenings I journal here about our little family.
For Mother’s Day I took the plunge and ordered all my blog words from 2010 and 2011 as a gift to myself. Two massive novels of my life arrived in the mail and I couldn’t be happier to finally hold my blog in my hands :) When 2012 is over I’ll definitely be ordering installment #3 – 2012. The year where Jemma morphs from a baby into a 2 year old toddler and we welcome brother into the family!

I found that breaking it down by year makes it more manageable (and affordable). For me, each book worked out to be about $40, but as Dominic said, “That is totally worth it!” And, that takes into account that I blog almost every day and each book is over 300 pages.

Alrighty … in summary:

  • Blog2Print is awesome
  • I feel calmer about life knowing I have a print version of my blog in hand
  • My husband thought it was a good idea, so, obviously it is

I haven't printed it yet, but I DO Save my blog every year so I have each year in pdf format! it's the best, because as much as I love blogging I know there will be a day when I stop checking my blog, stop writing on that one and or completely go off the grid. Books are just better than digital.
