A Birthday Gift Guide Especially For Two Year Olds

Some items included in this gift guide were complimentary samples for review. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

Not quite sure how we just celebrated Charlie’s second birthday, but it’s true – my baby is officially two!

I always love and appreciate mamas who share their gift ideas so in light of Mr. Charlie’s recent birthday I thought I’d put together a list of things we bought, considered, and already love – all of which are ideal for two year olds.

Happy browsing! And definitely chime in with what your kids have loved when they were this age!

Tula Mini Toy Carrier

Littles love to copy their mama and baby wearing is the perfect way to grow their nurturing spirit. Snag a Tula Mini Toy Carrier for their favorite plush and watch them practice being the very best little mama or papa.

Storypod

Created for the 0-6 crowd, Storypod is a fun and educational audio player that is screen free. Stories and activities are kicked off with a cute little plush called a Craftie that perch on top; there are also audiobooks and trivia cards. If you opt for a subscription, fresh, stage-based additions will arrive in the mail every two months. So, Storypod grows with your toddler or preschooler for endless interactive fun.

Wood and Hearts Learning Tower and Table

For Charlie’s first birthday we purchased him a Pikler Triangle from Wood and Hearts. The whole process (it comes from Ukraine) and the product itself are amazing. We have gotten so much fun out of it in the last year! It seemed like a no brainer to check out what else Wood and Hearts had and I just know the Learning Tower and Table set (one piece that functions as two) is going to be such a hit!

Dot It! Sticker Activity

Skip the paint (no, I’m not a mean mama, I just don’t loooooove messes, lol!) and opt for stickers when it comes to craft time! Dot It! from Skillmatics pairs perfectly with the Wood and Hearts Table. Get ready for some art time fun!

Disney Castle Wood Blocks

We snagged this on sale for Charlie because 1) we love Disneyland and 2) he loves blocks! It has been the perfect set of blocks! I’m pretty smitten over this Arendelle set too.

*** Be sure that you have search your online shopping through Rakuten first because places like Shop Disney always give a percent back. And, if you’re new to Rakuten you’ll get $30 back right off the bat. It’s easy and kicks you back so much, especially if you shop online often.

Little Faces, Big Feelings Book

This new release is FANTASTIC! Not only does it begin introducing feeling words, there is a mirror on the last page for your little one to mimic their own emotions. It’s adorable! The pages are made of a thick card stock which is the perfect transition from board books for rising preschoolers.

Playmobil 123 Aqua

Did you know that the renowned Playmobil has bath toys? They do! And they’re absolutely wonderful! The Aqua line has ten different sets that coordinate for ultimate fun. They even have an Aqua Advent calendar that I absolutely plan to surprise Charlie with come the Christmas season.

Tactile Shells

Colors and counting and textures, oh my! These tactile shells are a new favorite … especially when they get to join in on Charlie’s Play Doh time.

Bigger Blanket

By two years old, littles are growing out of swaddle size blankets, but boy, do they still love to snuggle! Upgrade their lovie with a bigger blanket in the same, soft favorite that brings on all the sweet dreams. We adore Tula’s bamboo fabric and hip prints – just search “Throw Blanket” for all the options in 59×79 size options. I mean, isn’t this Greenery design gorgeous?

First Board Game

Charlie is obsessed with the game Bunny Bedtime. Sadly, it seems to be retired! Definitely, keep an eye out for it secondhand. In the meantime, at two, littles are absolutely ready for their first board game and this HABA one looks fantastic. Peaceable Kingdom has great board games for ages 2-4 too. We love so many of theirs because they’re cooperative, pretty, and quick to play.
