To the Brim

I am brimming with angst and longing to do something creative. Something. ANYTHING. Often time doesn’t allow, so I sit and dream of a day with lots of time and energy and enthusiasm to conquer a project other than laundry.

You see, yesterday I went treasure hunting at the Salvation Army. I mean, who can pass it up when the billboard reads “Everything 50% off today only”. Not me. So, I ventured in and left with an armload of loot. Just take a guess at how much I paid for 6 children’s books, the grey hoodie (which has a French tag), and oh-so-sweet onesie …

$4.59
I know. Pretty exciting stuff.

So, that has left me itching for more. I want to go exploring and find some treasures for my home and for my baby. I want to create some amazingly unique masterpieces. Things to make my home my very own even though we are renting. Things like this …

I have the perfect chair for this project, but alas, I do not have the adorable cushion. Check out The Feminist Housewife for her inspiration and instructions for creating a treasure such as this!

Or this beauty which was featured on All Things Thrifty. Ah … the power of paint!

House of Turquoise introduced me to Simply Seleta. I have spent the last hour drooling over EVERYTHING. The entry above is one of my favorites … I have always dreamt of everyone having their very own inbox. Because once it gets sorted into an inbox it is off my plate. Hence, I love this with a passion!

See? I am filled to the brim with all things creative and bargain and homey. I want to fill my life with these things. I want to take pictures of my little baby posed in each setting. I want to go on some more treasure hunts. I want. I want. I want. So, instead of all this wanting I am going to choose to be content and just toss in a minor dash of hope. Hope that these projects (and many more) will come to fruition someday. Someday soon if I get what I want :)
