I had a jam-packed weekend. So jam-packed there are no photos.
I worked on Friday – not normal – so the weekend started off minus one day. On Saturday Dominic laid a lawn and Jem and I flew solo. We drove south to check out a new consignment store. Upon arrival we attacked the $1 rack.
I mean for $1 how could I pass up a tie-dyed romper? It’s ugly as I’ll get out and just perfect for summer. I’ll be sure to share a photo soon.
Afterwards we browsed around a craft store. I did not buy one thing which was quite the success. I was tempted many times, as was Jem, but we decided we had enough projects in the works at home. Which is very true.
Between Saturday and Sunday I cooked my little heart out:
Pulled Pork
Peanut Butter Brownies not from the box
Baked French Toast
Quinoa Enchiladas
We ate heartily this weekend and have lots of things ready to go for the week!
Typing this out, it doesn’t sound like much, but I swear, it was. It felt like alot of home-work, before I go back to … work-work. Home-work also consisted of mass laundry, dishes, de-cluttering, diaper washing and grocery shopping all while toting along my little love. And when I wasn’t toting, I was tiptoeing around her crazy crawling self. Now that makes my weekend sounds much busier :)
We ran a few errands as a family today – cabinet locks, lunch while sitting outdoors and a stop at the new H&M. Jem and I both scored something new! I found a long, tank dress I want in 100 other patterns and Jem got a little top that will be a dress for now. Tops as dresses is my new thing for her – the one I found was a 2-4 year size. I think it works since she is a little thick right now so the only “big” part is the length. In a few years it can morph into a regular top. Talk about getting my $4.95 worth, right? Does anyone else do this?
Ramble. Babble. That’s the weekend wrap-up :)

love tops and dresses, and as my daughter grew, her dresses also made cute tops. ;)
