In honor of post #200 here is a bit of something and a bit of nothing about me … just 20 things since 200 seems a bit overboard :)

  1. My Dad taught me to drive when I was 7. It was just a golf cart, but still … I buzzed through the woods and up and down the Grammy Trail. (Grammy Trail = the dirt path from my house to my Grammy’s farmhouse.) My babysitter proceeded to overheat and crash the golf cart once … that didn’t turn out well for me.
  2. I’m left handed.
  3. I call my husband Bear, short for Honey Bear. He calls me Bug, short for Love Bug.
  4. My favorite movie of all time is Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. I think I love it so much because I have absolutely no rhythm.
  5. Since I have no rhythm it is a wonder how I managed to make the cheerleading team in junior high … it might have been my awesome cartwheel I did during try-outs. Yes, you can start laughing now.
  6. We go to Applebee’s pretty often for Happy Hour … I always order a cup of french onion soup and a 1/2 and 1/2 order of boneless wings (1/2 classic sauce and 1/2 honey BBQ). YUM!
  7. I didn’t learn to swim until I was 11. Then I forgot how, so I don’t swim at all now.
  8. In college I donated platelets on a weekly basis. For $. To pay tuition. Now we are only $7,00 away from paying off what used to be $70,000 of students loans. I can literally say I invested blood and sweat into my B.S./M.S.
  9. I haven’t thrown up once during my pregnancy. Please stay my friend. If I would have, I probably would have cried for my mom. That’s what happened when I got food poisoning in Mexico last year. (P.S. It makes your husband feel awful when you are sick, he is trying to catch your puke, and you are crying for your mom. I don’t recommend doing that to his self-esteem.)
  10. Carnations have got to be the ugliest flowers ever.
  11. When I visited my Grammy in the hospital before she died I told her I would see her again … I knew “again” meant in Heaven someday. I can’t wait for that reunion, she is dearly missed.
  12. I will never become a runner; it is good I know this now instead of continuing to try and reason why I should someday. A few years ago I was debating whether or not I wanted to continue working out or move forward with a strict diet. I decided I would rather run 100 miles than not eat a cookie; so, I kept my gym membership. Now I don’t run and eat the cookie(s). I’m ok with that. Cookies curves are delicious!
  13. Hymns are some of my favorite songs; Be Thou My Vision is probably my #1 favorite.
  14. If I grow up to be just like my mom I’ll be perfectly happy with that. She is a jewel.
  15. I must fall asleep in complete darkness with white noise. This was quite troublesome in the beginning months (ok, year) of my marriage. Dominic is used to the TV being on at bedtime. The TV creates light and the opposite of white noise. Just imagine those late night fights … and imagine how we sleep now :)
  16. Panera Bread has one of my most favorite foods of all time. Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. I promise it tastes just as divine as it sounds. The White Apple Vinaigrette is heaven.
  17. I am a type-A overchiever. AKA, sometimes I make life seem more difficult than it really is.
  18. I always grow my hair long, just to get overly ambitious and think a short bob would look great. I have finally decided I am a long hair girl and I don’t plan to go back. I’m currently stuck at the awful hit-the-shoulder length.
  19. I really REALLY don’t want baby to be born on my birthday. I want us to each have our own special day. I am pretty sure I am jinxing this, but it’s worth mentioning. Vote “NO” on October 5th.
  20. If you follow my blog I will be very happy :) Don’t forget to comment!

Congrats on your #200! My hair is too at the shoulder length… dreaded shoulder length. Everytime it has been here in the last 6 years I have chopped it. I am doing my best to let it grow just to see long hair again.Good luck on your grow out as well!
