Registries are hard. It is difficult to decipher what is actually necessary and what is just marketed to first-time mamas to put us in a panic (and spend hundreds of otherwise, college fund dollars). I’m leaning towards more simplistic things. I like wood toys and board books; I would prefer to play classical music instead of the crazy chanting of many baby/toddler toys. That’s why I’m excited about my registry at Simple Cloth.
I’m getting a good vibe from the Puj baby tub. It seems to be a good mix between the mega-huge bath tub with fish and toys attached everywhere and just plopping them in a sink. It has a cradling effect so baby is comfortable and it’s foldable so it won’t take up a ton of space. They have it at Target, so I added it to my registry there. Unfortunately it’s one of those things they only carry online so I haven’t seen it yet.
I guess the worst case scenario would be finding out I need a mega-huge tub and all the other “gear”. Good thing I live close to Portland (tax free) and can make a mad dash to Target if I can’t live without something. Of course, this will be quite the adventure with baby in tow … I guess that’s why online ordering is an option :)

I love it! that newborn is barely fitting, though. If you plan to bathe your little one for more than the first month or two…perhaps investing in both would serve you well!
