This precious boy has bounded through the first half of his first year. I can hardly believe that my snuggly little man is rolling, sitting, smiling, cooing and filling with more and more life each day. He has become a super mama’s boy and is absolutely smitten with his sister. He loves being close to her and she loves it too … as long as he doesn’t get a fist full of her hair :)
With the move I feel cramped for time … so, here’s a quick little memo on all things Max!
At 6 months Max loves … tummy time that leads to rolling EVERYWHERE, practicing crawling (for realz?!?), taking baths with Jemma (read: super splashin’ siblings), chewing on Sophie the Giraffe’s legs, being worn and watching his auntie’s dog snuff around.
At 6 months Max hates … napping alone (or any nap that lasts longer than 30 minutes) and the hair dryer.
At 6 months Max has eaten … pollock paneer (Indian spinach puree) and bits of chicken. It’s funny how the milestone of trying food isn’t as momentous with your second child. I mean, we went all out with Jem, she even had a matching bib! With Max, he got to be a little more adventurous since he happened to turn 6 months the day we went out to our favorite Indian restaurant. The chicken came a few days later as I was chopping up a rotisserie for a salad.
And last but not least, at Max’s wellness appointment on the 13th he weighed 21 pounds, 8 ounces (90%) and was 28 inches long (95%). Our doctor said he is gonna be a tall one like his Daddy!
P.S. If you’re curious, here’s a flashback to Jemsie at 6 months!
