My original return to work date was yesterday, December 28th. For the longest time that day was equivalent to doom for me. How on earth could I leave my little girl for something so petty as work?
The good news is, in early November I found out I was eligible for an additional 6 weeks of leave, moving the dreaded date to February 7th. So, this week I’m choosing to be thankful. Thankful that I’m still at home with my girlie. Thankful we’ve got some precious time left just the two of us.

That is awesome that you got an additional 6 weeks! Treasure it (I know you will)! it is so hard going back to work…but it makes the nights and weekend even more special.
