Today’s post is sponsored by Pixsee. We’re thrilled to review this smart baby monitor!
I’ve been keeping a very fabulous secret over the last few months … my sister is expecting! I’m going to be an auntie again!!!
Suffice to say, I’m thrilled. The kids are thrilled. My whole extended family is thrilled. This little one is already SO incredibly loved.
And yes, Katie and her husband recently found out what they’re having … a baby girl! We were all happy either way, of course, but I had a girl first, my youngest sister had a girl first, and thus, we all thought it would be extra fun if Katie had a girl first too. What can I say, our childhood Fiddler on the Roof obsession is ringing true, “TRADITION!”
As the countdown to baby continues, Katie has been diligently working on her home’s spare room, transforming it to the most beautiful nursery. My sis is quite the DIY girl and I’m forever in awe of how she turned such a bare space into a cozy yet modern room for her little one. I joked that when I come to visit, I want an air mattress set up here so I can soak up the peace she has created.
I’d liked to say that I had a heavy hand in designing this magnificent space but truly, it was all Katie! I’ll only take credit for recommending the Pixsee smart baby monitor, handing down the crib, and saying that a new light fixture would add extra flair, but other than that, all props go to Kate!
Before I delve into all the details and links of Katie’s nursery, let me boast a bit about Pixsee. The app is user friendly and the picture quality is top notch. Pixsee has quite a bit of flexibility in regard to positioning – wall mount, table top, and a stand with multiple heights and angles. Pixsee even takes photos with the Smart Capture feature to chronicle milestones and potential missed moments!
In regard to safety, Pixsee is always on the watch with cry detection, covered face detection, area detection, temperature detection, and humidity detection. And, it reports it all directly to mom, dad, and any other users you approve.
Unlike other monitors, when Pixsee hears baby crying it automatically plays calming sounds from the Smart Music Box – how cool! – and the Cry Decoder lets mom or dad record their voice for to soothe baby as well.
Best of all, for a smart baby monitor, the price point of Pixsee is spot on – quality picture and sound as well as awesome bonus features for under $300.
We’ve been playing around with where Katie will position her Pixsee so in these nursery photos you’ll see it in two different spots. We did learn that when using the stand it helps to weight the cord when feeding it through the stand – just a happy little tip when it comes to easing set-up :)
Isn’t Pixsee the cutest little critter? Keeping an eye and reporting all the things in its smart and innovative way.
Aren’t you just smitten with this room? My niece is one lucky girl! I can’t wait for Katie to add little necessities and extras from her shower and then, add the best things of all – a precious little girl!
Katie, I’m so proud of the nursery you created! It is eclectic and peaceful and the perfect space for your little girl to sleep, play, learn, grow … and be snuggled by her Aunt Gretchen!
