It’s been a month now since I chopped off my super long hair!
I knew it was time for a trim, but it seemed silly to take off a few inches when I could go a little bit shorter and donate to Children With Hair Loss. So, I did! Thirteen inches … GONE!
This is the third time I’ve donated a ponytail of my hair to an organization that makes wigs for children in need. Ever since learning about Children With Hair Loss I knew it would be the organization I stick with for future cuts and donations. They’ve got an amazing program and all the wigs they make are free to kids in need.
It’s super easy to donate! If you or your child have long hair, think about it! You only need 8 inches of clean, dry hair in a ponytail or braid. Non-chemically treated hair is preferred, but any in good condition will be accepted. Once cut, you pop it in a Ziploc bag, complete the donation form, and mail it to Children With Hair Loss. So simple! You can print the donation form here.
If you cut and donate, be sure to snap a photo and share so others can learn about donating. And tag me too … I’d love to see your new ‘do!
