Still living on the high from our 2015 Disneyland trip, Jemma and I spent almost a month planning our outfits for Disneyland this year. From tees, to jewelry, to ears, and, of course, princess dresses, we stuffed our suitcases and lived it up the whole time we were there. Hope you enjoy a few snapshots of our favorite Disney styles!
I’m all about traveling in comfort. That means flights are the perfect excuse for my best athletisure pieces. I layered up with thick running tights, tennies, and my Albion Fit Here and There Zip-Up. The Lily Jade McKenna also made the perfect crossbody for keeping boarding passes, Reid’s birth certificate, and my wallet close by. It was the perfect park bag too!
Once we landed in Cali, we changed (because, hello warmer weather!) and hit up Downtown Disney. You can hardly see it here, but this Alice in Wonderland tank is a new favorite. It’s actually part of a pajamas set, but you’d never know!
Lularoe represent! Love these leggings and this GAP tunic dress layered perfectly with them.
So so thankful that I packed a warm coat. I used this down number from Costco daily, both in the morning and once the sun went down each night. Best of all, it paired perfectly with my classic Minnie ears! These wire and floral ears from ImaginEars were so lightweight and comfortable. Absolutely adore them!
Minnie ears again, Mickey sweatshirt, and Jemma in her Ariel-inspired ears and dress made by Mimi. Then we’ve got Max and Reid in their matching Finding Dory tees and Dominic repping his favorite character team. Thanks for joining in the Disney fun, hun. I did buy him this tee, but he just wasn’t in to dressing up. #notadisneydad #butstillprettyfun
The next day was all about the merging of favorites. Mary Poppins and Matterhorn. LOVE! I mean, just look at the details on these Mary Poppins ears from Ears Come True. And this tank is super comfy! I actually found it at the last minute and Erin was so kind to ship it directly to our hotel for me so I’d have it for the trip. Once again Mimi made Jemma’s ears and whipped up the cutest little skirt from this Disney princess emoji fabric.
Then, Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique. Dead. Worth every penny. And you’re welcome for not sharing all 8 billion photos of the experience.
On our last day I re-wore pieces from earlier in the week and spiced it up with the prettiest Disney-inspired jewelry — a necklace stamped with Disneyland coordinates from ElleLane Designs and my Alex and Ani bangles. And, it shouldn’t go without mentioning that Jemma and I had fancy Minnie nails done before the trip!
As important as cute outfits are for Disneyland, I won’t leave you wondering about what shoes held up the best. After 2 trips to Disneyland, I dub these the official winners …
- Birkenstock Gizeh Sandals
- Nike Free Flyknits (found mine at the Nike Outlet and they’re the best!)
- Tieks
- Sorel Out n About Chelsea Boot
And for the kids … Max wore his Natives and Nikes, Jemma a pair of Nordstrom boots that aren’t available anymore and Yosi Samra flats (scored from a Zulily sale!), and Reid wore the one pair of shoes he has in his current size. We averaged 7-10 miles a day, so these are all definitely Disneyland approved!
Jem has announced that we should return to Disneyland when she is 10 and my mom is rooting for a trip in honor of her 60th birthday in 2 years. If that’s the case, you can bet I’ll be keeping my eye out for perfect Disney outfits between now and then!
