I mentioned on Facebook a few weeks ago that I sorted through my closet and took a bunch of things to the consignment shop. In that pile, I gathered everything red. I’m just not a red girl and so, it all left.
Years ago someone told me I looked pretty in red, something about my having blue undertones in my skin and red complementing it. (Is that even a true thing?) Thus, while shopping I gravitated towards red because … well, obviously, once upon a time, long ago, someone said I was pretty in red so I must have all the red to be pretty. #crazylogic
Here’s the thing though. I don’t really like red. I like burgundy (a lot) and coral, but not red. It’s just not me. Or maybe it was, and it isn’t anymore. Oh the plights of growing up and learning about yourself. If only this wasn’t just the tip of the iceberg.
Back to fashion though … now, I’m a neutrals girl. And I know it. I want all the cream and bronze and black and mocha and gray. Doesn’t matter if it’s summer or winter – neutrals are in, neutrals are me. Instead of adding color to my wardrobe, I’m drawn towards textures in classic, neutral colors. And so, this Nadia Loose-Knit Tunic from White Plum is pretty perfect for me.
Tunics are so fabulous. They make leggings acceptable and pair perfectly with skinnies and boots. I love the cozy slouch of the Nadia Loose-Knit Tunic and, as you can see it has the best texture every created – lace!
