Baby’s Getting Teeth? You Need …

That’s right. If your baby is teething I’m hear to tell you that they need a necklace. But not just any necklace, one made from Baltic amber. And no, I’m not crazy. Although my mama smirks at me in a “this sounds awfully fishy to me” way whenever I pull out my kiddos “jewelry”.
So, amber. It’s a natural, organic petrified resin – not a stone. Due to its’ unique properties, it acts as an anti-inflammatory, hence the help with teething issues.

Currently, there are two different thoughts as to why wearing amber on the skin can have soothing and calming effects on teething children. One thought suggests that when amber is worn on the skin, the skin’s warmth releases miniscule amounts of healing oils from amber which are then absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. The other theory is based on scientific findings which have shown that amber is electromagnetically alive and produces significant amounts of organic, purely natural energy. source

Jemma, and now Max, are regulars with their amber during the teething days months. Jemma still likes to wear hers. With Jemma I only had a necklace. She would wear it around her neck during the day and during naps and bed time I would double wrap it around her ankle and secure it with a sock or footie pajamas. Then, I stumbled upon Gumstone and found that they carried bracelet/anklet versions of amber. Yay!
Lately, Jemma has insisted on being twins with Max by wearing an anklet whenever he does. Which is always. I guess you could call it being a sympathetic sibling. Truly though, I’m a true believer of Baltic amber. It definitely takes off the edge of teething aches and pains and therefore helps Max to sleep better and loosen up his cranky pants during the day. Baltic amber, you’re my bestie. And Max loves you too :)
Gumstone offered to turn my little amber twins into triplets with a third anklet — one for you! Enter below by the end of the month!

Thanks for the link up, G! We can 100% attest to the healing powers of amber. P's top two teeth broke through yesterday and there has been very little fuss coming from her this weekend. However, she did just learn the SUPER COOL trick of grinding those chompers together… while her mama and daddy wince. :(

We're getting teeth here, too, but I've been too chicken to try out the amber necklaces! I've heard such great things about them, though!

My little guy hasn't been cutting teeth yet, but I was just thinking about it yesterday. Reading this post, I kept thinking, she has me convinced, I am getting one of these! So, I am very excited to see about the give-a-way. I looked them over and I like the honey bracelet. Thanks Gretchen!

At 2 1/2 we finally took Heath's off- to share with his baby cousin during the holidays because he was so obviously in need of it, more than a boy with a full mouth of teeth :) But after two years it became more than functional, but fashionable.
