I feel 10, I feel 100

There are those days when I’m bursting with energy.
The world is full and vibrant and ready for my taking.
I want to be everything when I grow up.
And, I know I will.

Then, there are those days when I ache.
When sleep evades and is never enough.
I’m spent and empty and wistful.

I feel both 10 and 100.

I love the youthful days.
When I’m the young mama.
Having fun, soaking up the sun, making joy from all the life around me.

But still, I love my old days.
When I can reminisce.
When I feel wise and burdened.

I feel 10, I feel 100.

I journaled this before I found out about baby #2, but was pregnant. Might explain why I was feeling so tired and still remembering the days when I actually had a spring in my step. Ha!

No wonder you felt 100… man the early part of pregnancy knocks me flat. What a great thing to have journaled – before you knew about your little one.
