… A little about Johanna and Up a Tree. Cup a Tea …
I’m a college student, finishing up my last year of my BA in Elementary Education. I love repurposing and vintage items and I’ve been sewing since I was 7 years old so I decided to combine all three and started Up a Tree Cup a Tea Co. in January 2010. All of my fabrics, thread, felt, buttons, and lace are either vintage or repurposed…basically everything except the metal alligator clips and pin backs! I love being able to make things that are totally unique and searching for fabrics and buttons in all sorts of places…from estate sales to thrift stores. I also love doing custom orders and making something just for a customer.
Also, something to highlight for all the moms out there is that I cover all the metal alligator clips in fabric or ribbon so that the metal doesn’t hurt the little ones!
