Meet Bruce

My family just finished building a house and my soon-to-be 18 year old sis, Hannah, has been doing alot of sorting. Sorting that includes deciding which childhood memories are worth keeping, what should be passed on, and what should join the mega garage sale we are planning for July. This weekend she found a tub of stuffed animals from close to a decade ago. It was a hard step, but she decided to pass on one of her most beloved bears (and a sweet note) to our little one.

Dear Baby,

Bruce is a rugged, yet cuddly little critter… plus he is going to fit perfectly into your mother’s vision for your nursery! He has been many a place with me and is always up for an adventure. Bruce has an expertly stuffed belly justr perfect for a pillow on a long car ride! Long car rides like when you come and visit me in Olympia or up at college!

On a sidenote, don’t get mad at your mom when she bans Toy Story from your house. This is really my rule … I don’t want you to be like your favorite aunt who sadly looks at all of my old, stuffed animal’s little faces and have to either pack away or sell them. Thanks to Pixar I now think my toys and animals are alive when I’m not home! Bruce will be perfect for you and he is all you will ever need, so just stick with this one stuffed animal.

Love you sooooo much baby! I wish you could be here already but I guess I can wait for you until Harvest time… see ya soon!

Love Always, Auntie Hannah

although i happily passed my beloved Bruce to baby…. that first part that you wrote makes it sound like he was one of the rejects which he was not. you may or may not have found him and asked if you could take him and add him to the nursery vision but either way he is happy to be with u and growing baby :) and dom i heard that you were using him as practice and putting him in all sorts of new outfits very smart thinking! love ya both mwah

Bruce is my inspiration for outfits. Because I am not creative with girly clothing at point in time, Bruce will – as he should – be sporting manly clothing; probably athletic in nature!
